S2Medical is a Swedish biomedtech group, founded in 2013 in Linköping, working in wound healing, infection control and cosmeceuticals. EPIPROTECT was developed by S2Medical, is today standard of care for burns at clinics around the world and is carried forward by ABENA through its wholly owned subsidiary EPIPROTECT AB, with recurring revenue to the company. Instaqrett and Ynolens are procured in Swedish healthcare regions and are growing, and during the first half of 2026 the group's operating result turned positive.
S2Medical is a medical technology company focused on the development and commercialization of innovative healthcare solutions. The company's commercial portfolio includes NoSmell, marketed under the Ynolens brand, and InstaQrett. S2Medical also supports Abena in the distribution of EPIPROTECT through a dedicated team based at its office in Dubai.
Alongside its commercial operations, S2Medical maintains a pipeline of next-generation technologies, led by Admercin, an antimicrobial peptide (AMP) technology. Admercin is being developed as a medical device, and its integration into a future generation of EPIPROTECT is one potential pathway to market.
In line with established medical device practice, the program advances through a structured sequence of laboratory studies, preclinical testing and clinical evaluation, designed to demonstrate safety and performance ahead of CE marking and commercial launch.
